Limitations For Polling for Zoom Webinars

  • Zoom webinars are only available for Zoom clients who meet the minimum version requirements.
  • Polling is not supported during Q&A sessions in Zoom. (Q&A sessions begin when an attendee asks a question or when Zoom starts polling.) Please do not initiate any polls until after the Q&A session is over to avoid any disruption to the audience.
  • The Zoom web app is NOT supported for polling until further notice. However, you can still join Zoom using the Converge app on an iOS or Android device.
  • Polling cannot be used during remote presentations (when multiple people present remotely). Please avoid any interruption to presenters via polling; instead, record your questions and ask them after the presentation.
  • Webinars are not currently supported on mobile devices (e.g., tablets or phones).
  • Polling is limited to 10 responses per poll and 100 responses during a Zoom webinar.
  • By default, only the original webinar host can create and edit polls during a webinar.

How To Add Poll Questions To Your Zoom Webinar?

Polling questions can be added at any time during your Zoom webinar or setting up polls in advance of your meeting. If you want to add a poll during a session, then you need to follow these steps:

  • Open Zoom web portal.
  • Sign in to your account.
  • Select Webinars from the navigation menu.
  • Click on the webinar you wish to edit.
  • Select the green “+” sign at the top right corner of your screen and click polling from the drop-down list.

  • You can also end a poll by clicking on the close button at any time during the polling session to end the poll and view the results.
